wel graag sabardansen onder de warmte van de zon en in een gezellige,
veilige sfeer? Of ben je op zoek naar een actieve vakantie en wil je je
graag verdiepen in sabar?

samenwerking met Ineke & Erik, de eigenaren van Finca Forata een sabar
dansvakantie in 2011!
Finca Forata is een prachtige olijvenboerderij
omringd door een olijvengaarde en gelegen in de groene bergen van de
Levantestreek, op ongeveer 50 km van kunst- en cultuurstad Valencia. Deze
prachtige locatie leent zich uitstekend voor dansworkshops.
Er ligt een mooie houten dansvloer in de openlucht voor ons klaar, met
uitzicht op de vallei van het stuwmeer Embalse de Forata. Na de dansles
kunnen we verkoeling zoeken in het zwembad of een gekoeld drankje nuttigen
op het terras van het barretje "La Taberna" op de Plaza. Of trek je elders

PROGRAMMA
Per dag heb je 3 tot 4 uur sabar dansles van Sophie en haar percussionisten.
In de ochtend, als het nog koel is, anderhalf tot twee uur, en na de siësta,
in de namiddag nog eens. In de lessen wordt, zoals je van Sophie gewend
bent, aandacht besteed aan techniek, repertoire, plezier, (gezichts)expressie
en energie. We zullen werken aan het begrijpen van de ritmes, de opbouw van
solo’s en het uitbreiden van het repertoire. Om de lessen heen is er muziek
in de bar en ruime
gelegenheid tot andere (sabargerelateerde) activiteiten. De crew (Sophie,
Roger ‘Mbaye’ , de kokkin en Ineke&Erik van Finca Forata) staan als team
volledig tot je beschikking om je een heerlijke, ontspannen en
tegelijkertijd energieke vakantie te bezorgen.
Om in Senegalese sferen te blijven, worden de drie verse maaltijden per dag
verzorgd door onze Senegalese kokkin.
In de totaalprijs van €995 zit
inbegrepen:
-Vliegticket Amsterdam-Valencia en terug inclusief alle belastingen, vervoer
per bus van Valencia aeropuerto naar Finca Forata en terug, alle
overnachtingen in een van de drie appartementen die Finca Forata ter
beschikking stelt, drie maaltijden en een tussendoortje per dag (ontbijt,
lunch, namiddag snack en diner), alle danslessen door Sophie met
percussiebegeleiding van drie professionele Senegalese muzikanten.
-Het enige dat exclusief is aan deze reis zijn de drankjes die je nuttigt in
de bar (zeer schappelijke prijzen, bier/fris/wijn ongeveer €1,50).
Je kind meenemen? Kinderen tot 14 jaar mogen voor
een gereduceerd tarief van €495,- all in mee!
Vanuit een ander land dan Nederland meedoen? Je betaalt €745,- euro
exclusief reiskosten.
De organisatie
Sophie en Roger ‘Mbaye’ Ndoye hebben zich al eerder in Senegal tijdens de
door hen georganiseerde dansstages ontpopt als een zeer betrouwbaar, solide
en ontspannen koppel. Sophie heeft als docente haar sporen nagelaten: sinds
2007 organiseert zij wekelijkse lessen, workshops, optredens en
schoolprojecten om zoveel mogelijk mensen kennis te laten maken met sabar.
Met haar niet aflatende enthousiasme krijgt ze bijna iedereen zover om sabar
te leren dansen, een dans die voorheen bekend stond als ‘te moeilijk om te
leren’. Senegalezen noemen haar niet voor niets een ambassadrice van de

you really like to dance sabar in a sunny, warm environment? Come to Spain
with Sophie Sabar! We organize in corporation with Finca Forata an
exceptional sabar dance week in 2011!
Finca Forata is a beautiful olive farm surrounded
by spectacular scenery about 50 km from Valencia know for its culture and
arts. This location is perfectly suited for dance workshops.

A wooden dance floor is being made ready for us in
the open air, with a view over the valley. After the dance classes we can
seek some refreshment in the swimming pool or have a cooled drink at the
terrace of the tiny bar ’La Taberna’. Or look for some privacy elsewhere in
the shades of this vast area.
PROGRAM
Daily you will have 2 dance classes consisting of 2 hours each. In the
morning, when it’s still relatively cool, and after the siesta in the
afternoon. Sophie will teach you, as you are used from her, the technical
part of sabar dancing, repertoire, fun when dancing, (facial and body)expressions
and energy. We will work on the understanding of the rhythms, building your
own solo and the expansion of sabar knowledge. Sophie will be accompanied by
excellent and enthusiastic percussionists from Senegal. There is enough time
around the dance classes to have drinks, listen to (mbalax!) music in the
bar and talk about (sabar related) subjects. The crew (Sophie, Roger ‘Mbaye’
, our cook and Ineke & Erik, owners of Finca Forata) are ready for you as a
team to ensure you have a great sabar week at Finca Forata! To stay in
Senegalese atmospheres, we will be served three fresh meals daily by our
Senegalese cook!
The all-in price of this trip is
€995 and it includes:
-Plane ticket Amsterdam-Valencia two way including all the taxes, transfer
from Valencia Airport to Finca Forata two way, stay during the whole week in
one of the three apartments Finca Forata offers, three meals a day and a
snack, all dance classes by Sophie and accompanied by 3 professional
percussionists.
-The only thing excluded to this trip are the drinks you have at the bar.
Extra options:
*Children up to 14 years of age can come along for the reduced price of
€495,- all in!
*Coming from Spain or another country than Holland? You pay €745,- for you
stay only, that is: everything excluding the flight and transfer to and from
Valencia Airport.
Organization
Sophie and Roger ‘Mbaye’ Ndoye have proven to be a solid, relaxed and
reliable couple after having organized several successful trips to Senegal.
Sophie is an experienced teacher: since 2007 she organizes weekly classes,
monthly workshops and yearly trips to Senegal as well as school projects
with a principal purpose of sharing sabar with as many people as possible.
With her unceasing enthusiasm she convinces almost everybody to dance sabar,
